Topical flic...

I just watched Atlas Shrugged Part II yesterday and have to say the series is still on track. The producers are breaking the book into three parts and the first two haven't disappointed yet. Now, they are by no means "thrill a minute" type movies, but are indeed thought provoking. The first installment was a little more low budget, but well done none the less. The second part has a bigger budget and a cast change. Even with a new cast of folks who are a little more recognizable, they never detract from the main message: the government is sucking its citizens dry.

On a side note I found it interesting that I was the youngest viewer there. Of the twenty something people watching, on a Weds. matinee, I was the youngest by at least 20 years. I don't know if that's good or bad. I know most people are at work during the day, but I hope the movie will find a younger crowd that needs to hear and see the movie's message.

I would definitely recommend seeing it and taking your favorite liberal with you. I read Atlas Shrugged this past year and amazed at how topical this book has remained. Ayn Rand had a hold on the pulse of the government types then and even more so now. So, go get your wife to get her movie purse out(you know-the big one that holds two twenty oz cokes and a microwave bag of popcorn. My Mom even snuck a dozen Krystals once) and give it a watch.Y'all have a good 'un.
